does anyone have advice or opinions on an after market slip on for the Daytona?? I have looked at a bunch but i have no clue what direction to go in

You get all kinds of opinions but it seems like the hp results are minimal. I have read that the Scorpion slip on porivdes the best gains, bringing the bike to 112rwhp. I also read that the Triumph/Arrow full system provides the best performance gains because it reduces so much weight from the bike. I am running stock and will probably keep it there as I am not into the extra sound for the sake of sound. For further confusion, search around http://www.triumph675.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=13

what about triumphs tor can and even tho they say you dont need it all the other aftermarket cans should get a new tune from stock right

I have the Triumph TOR can on both of my 675's and have been really happy with them in terms of sound and performance. The only drawback is the fact that you don't cut much weight over the stock can.

I will probably end up with an Arrow Stage 2 Exhaust on my track bike at some point for the weight savings.

I would recommend a different tune than the stock tune for an aftermarket pipe. At the very least, the TOR tune if you don't have someone who can custom map it for you on a dyno.

I just put this on my 675, it's a full system though~ saved 13.6lbs and made between 3-7 more hp through the majority of the range with the Arrow tune and stock air filter. I'm going to add a pipercross filter and create a custom map for it this weekend if I get the time and it should be a lot better then.

I didn't know Zard was making a full system with an underseat exit. That's a great looking system!

Yeah, it has been out for a little while. I don't really like the side exit exhausts on the 675 as the tail looks weird alone to me. So basically I was choosing between this and the Arrow and decided on this because of cost and we are using the Arrow on our other bikes.

Nice look commoto. Fast Bikes did a thing on various silencer options when they had their D675 a few months ago. They praised the Scorpion tail for increased power. They kinda panned the TOR because if I remember right, it really only made the bike sound great (that's a good thing) but actually lost some midrange. I personnally like the TOR and will probably do one this summer. Again, after warranty I hope to go the whole nine yards with System 2 and race bits.
