Paul Young got a ride in BSS with Embassy Racing -->> http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/sp...cetriumphdeal/

Seems it will just be McCoy for Triumph-SC's go in WSS.

Keep an eye on BE1 racing 675's in WSS as well!!

Hummm... I may have to start cross posting 675 racing new for you guys. Don't want anyone to be left out.

Great update! Thanks. This forum doesn't get all the noise other forums have, but racing updates would be cool.

Ilario Dionisi will be racing beside Garry McCoy, for Team Triumph - SC, in WSS. So that's 4 675's running in WSS

Thanks, Adam. I bet they surprise a few people this year. Any bets on how much power they make with a season's racing development behind them? This is great news all around for Triumph and people like us who ride Triumph supersport bikes. I can't see anything but good coming from a racing effort, since some of what the teams learn will filter back to Triumph and will get incorporated into the next generation of Daytona 675.

In the first qualifying, things did not go as well for Triumphs as we find :

1. Fabien Foret (Yamaha) 2'03"495

2. Jonathan Rea (Honda) at 0.346

3. Matthieu Lagrive (Honda) at 0.522

10. Ivan Clementi (BE1 Triumph) at 1.716

11. Mark Aitchison (BE1 Triumph) at 1.722

...

14. Garry McCoy (SC Triumph) at 1.854

...

28. Ilario Dionisi (SC Triumph) at 3.751

More to come tomorrow, and Sunday for the race...

Interesting to see the BE1 bikes running faster than the factory bikes.

In a way, it doesn't surprise me. BE1 seems to have had it's hands into the 675 a little longer. Heck, look at Qatar WSS tire testing......SC - Triumph only had one 675 at that point and no engine testing what so ever. Then add on the fact that they just named a second rider. Guessing a certain team may not be exactly were they want to be by this weekend. (although I bet we'll see McCoy step it up a lot, and quickly)

Here's to hoping both teams can pull off some good racing!!
