I'll see if I can get a measurement later tonight on the rear ride height for you. The Gixxer looks nice. I'm sure you will have a blast on it this year.

I really overkilled the paint job on my track plastics - I'm not going to even worry about repairing them from the lowside last season, except to repair one tab on the tail section that broke off. I'll go this entire season with them as they are and then next season I'll re-do them again.

Since I bought the other 675, all of my winter project time will be spent dealing with getting it in track shape for the season. Rather than worrying about how it looks I'm going to worry about the mechanicals.

Next off season will be the time to make it look pretty!

Jeff

No track bike I ever own will qualify as pretty! I figure ugly will intimidated the rest of the pack, along with the picturesque scuffs on my leathers. Y'know- this guy is nuts, stay away from him...

Think it will work?

I gotta say, this whole racing thing is turning out to be really expensive! I bought a used generator off ebay, and even at half price, a quiet McCulloch badged Kipor 2000w generator was over $400. Then there will be tire warmers. In a five lap sprint race, you don't have two laps to get tires up to temperature. Next will be tires. I am hoping to get some support from Bridgestone, since I will be using 'Stones, but who knows. I got a sponsorship from Panolin, a Swiss oil company, so the endless oil changes won't be so bad. I have been talking to various others to try to scare up support, but nothing has panned out just yet.
