Stolen Red 675

My world has been truely Shat on. Stolen last night. Guess she'll be stripped for parts and then dumped. was a red 675. The tank had stomp grips, it had a jardine carbon exhaust. had a puig screen... I just dont know what to say. It was covered, it was alarmed and it was secured to an imovable object on a closed street under a streetlamp with houses overlooking it.

Biking in London, will never be the same.

If anyone sees red 675 parts being sold, maybe a tank with stomps on, a jardine can for xmas... My heart is in my mouth.

I'm so sorry to hear about that! I've had vehicles stolen before so I can feel for you. the sence of violation is tough to overcome. Hopefully your insurance will take care of the bike but that doesn't take care of the vengence you'd like to heap on the theves.

Hang in there!

Some bikes are just cursed. It got backed into and now stolen. None of these things had anything to do with something you did. I had a bike that kept getting hit, and the guys at the local dealership would just shake their heads when I came in for parts. They told me to get rid of it and get something, anything else! I sure hope your insurance covers another one for you. Maybe the thieves were doing you a favor. They stole a cursed bike before the curse got it hit while you were riding it.

I am trying to look on the bright side. Finding your bike gone has to be one of the worst feelings.

It`s just London. I used to despatch on a ratty old CX500 held together with duct tape and baling wire with 200,000 miles on the clock but someone still went to the trouble of cutting through an oxford shackle lock to steal it. I then bought a flat with a lock up garage for more security and put a d ring into the concrete floor to chain the bike to. Nevertheless, it was broken into and I had a 6 month old GT550 stolen. I have a mate that lives on the Thamesmead estate who`s had to give up biking after having 2 VFR`s and a Thundercat stolen in a year, despite all being heavily chained to a lampost. No one will insure him anymore.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Spread the word, post a few pics of your bike in the Rat.Net Member Albums and email your bike's VIN to as many dealers as you can. Also check eBay and the Classifieds sites (including this one) and follow any leads you can find.

People tend not to break in to things that arm armed with very big firearms or German Shepards. I am sorry your bike got stolen I wish a thousand fire ant bites on the nuts of the thief.

As reported on Triumph675.net, Treehugger is one of the lucky ones and has gotten his bike back through the efforts of the police... Good news indeed! Now he even has an extra back wheel!

Yeah sorry not to update, but I'm still waiting to get to see her when the police are done with her. They said I can go see her on monday. So when I've ahd a look at what they did to her I can work out what happens next. I'm guessing the ignition has been F^&&d with and the alarm ripped out. as for the seat lock and the fuel cap, I just don't know... just have to wait and see. I'm guessing it Is a 675 rear wheel? who knows... when thestory is finally over I will post the whole story

Good news you are getting it back. I sure hope they haven't trashed it too badly. Going so far as to remove the rear wheel in order to steal a bike seems pretty desperate to me, but I don't live in London.

A friend who lives fairly close by here had his yellow 675 stolen a month ago. He had an Aprilia. It was stolen and he got the 675 with insurance. He forgot to lock his bike to the bolt he installed after the Aprilia got nicked, and sure enough, the 675 disappeared, too. I think he is getting staked out. It must be way too easy and way too profitable to steal bikes.
