hey guys . . I'm sure this has been posted before, but how's the comfort on the D675 for 3-4 hour rides? I'm 6' 210lbs with a 32' inseam, FWIW. The 675 is on my short list of new rides, along with the Thruxton. Not sure which would be easier on the body, though. I know, two totally different rides, but they both appeal to me for different reasons

i would do a 3 hour ride on this bike and be fine. but the bike i came off of was an extreme position. that said, its still not an uncomfortable position. you could do some good miles on the 675. i'm 6'1 170lbs. the thruxton is a better position, but it is a bit harsh of a ride. and it scares me when i have to get on the highway, i would like a bit more power. but it gets alot of head turning.

The 675 seating position sort of thows you to the front, then with the clip ons , my husband says he feels like he's standing on his head.....

I , on the other hand, don't feel quite that bad on it, I am 5'4" and I commute to work on it and we have taken some day rides, I don't have to much of a problem, my wrists do get tired and sometimes my neck.... The more aggressive roads you're on the better it is, cause just running slabs all day will make you ache real fast!

I am almost sure the Thruxton would be a more comfortable ride for all day, but all depends on the person , I think.

My 675 is currently in the shop being fitted with the CycleCat bars...which people say make a world of difference, so I guess I will find out!

Thanks for the replies. . I felt like it was an extreme down-forward lean to the bars, too, when I sat on it. Well, that makes it an easier decision. Although . . there's always the option of getting a Speed Triple again (gotta love the 3 cyl) :-D

I suppose I am the usual dissenting opinion. It isn't all day comfortable, but it isn't bad. I wouldn't hesitate to ride it four to five hours, and I am almost 47, with one knee surgery and a sore back. For comparison, I am about 5-10 and have a 33 inseam, so I have to fold up just a little more.

I'm 22, 5-7 or 5-8 with a 30 inch inseem
My old man is 57 same height and a little shorter inseem

Last summer my father and I completed a 8 hour ride (could be more actually but can't remember) both of us finished the day without any achs or pains just a great furst for some 1664.

The 675 for me is shockingly comfortable once you get use to the riding position. At the begining you do wonder if you will ever get use to it but eventually you do.

I have been on most sport bikes...................................well................................mostly the Kawi's, Honda's etc. Last year I picked up an 05 Daytona 650. Love the ride, higher seating position, raised bars.................it is a really comfortable sport bike. I did however get the opportunity to ride the 675 on a Sunday ride day with some buddies.
The bike sounded great, rode incredibly smooth, but the seating position, my god, I really didn't like it. It feels as though it would be fun on a track for 30 minutes, but long road rides, no way !! All I could think of when I rode it was "I really want my own bike back".
Sure, if you are 5'7...............good fit. If it is your wifes bike, nice comfort. But for me, and I'm only 6 feet...185lbs.......I felt like a monkey ***** a football.
I had a YSR50 that felt quite similar........................lolol

Just my opinion.

yea at first the 675 does feel like its going to brake your back and generally feels like an extreme position but after a while you get use to it and i genrally find it comfortable. But as said on 675.net to numerous people who have asked this very question.

If your worried about seat comfort, storage space, MPG when buying a bike then no supersport or superbike is going to be for you.

It is a supersport not a Goldwing
