Having owned a 2001 Speed Triple with a StarCom1 Helmet Communications System installed, I knew that when I acquired my 675 that I would be adding one as well. I like to listen to my iPod when I ride and it's nice when I am out riding for my wife to be able to place a phone call to me while I am on the bike. In addition to those two features, you can also talk rider to pillion and by using a two-way radio you can talk bike to bike.
The standard StarCom1 was too big to locate under the seat of the 675, so I ordered a StarCom1 Advance. You can see how small it is in the photo below with the original StarCom1, my 60G iPod Photo, The StarCom1 Advance, the StarCom1 Bluetooth Adapter and my Triumph Key for size comparison...
I started by selecting the location for the StarCom1 Advance. I chose to place it in the location where the alarm system would go... The little box shaped tray just behind the battery under the rider's seat...
This photo shows the StarCom1 Advance in place...

Here is what I've chosen to do at least temporarily with the headset plug for the rider...
I may choose to relocate this later, but for now it will work fine. You can learn more about StarCom1 Helmet Communication Systems by following this link...
