I really love this bike, but being very short (5'5") makes it difficult enough to be a sport bike lover. As it is, I currently ride a Kawi 500R with a 30.5" seat hight and I could probably be comfortable enough with a bike at 31". Problem is that the two bikes I'm looking at right now are awkward to sit on and while I can actually touch the ground, tippy toe movement isn't the safest way to go. If I did buy the 675 Daytona, I would most certainly need a lowering kit, but searches have come up with nothing and I'm not sure how it will effect the bike. Anyone?

Here (click) is one. I'm sure there will be others available soon, if not already.

Here's another one:

But it may be worth waiting for the naked 675, one rendition of which can be seen in the recent post here under Hinckley Gossip:

It was an easy install and adjusting the ride height takes all of ten minutes. It would require a rear stand and a couple of open end wrenches. You would have to lower the front of course, the stock steering dampner will keep you from lowering it too much but an aftermarket top mounted dampner will take care of that.. GPR is supposed to make one and hopefully the Scotts unit would fit on that same bracket. In all mine is a little over 1" lower than stock and she rides just the same as she did when I got her. The suspension link is a really nice piece of work. I think there are six or seven others now that have them and they really like it as well.

Hope this helps,
~d
