Yeahh......rub it in with your pointing finger and that smile on your face. Have been seconds away from calling my dealer this hole summer for ordering one, on second thoughts all the time thou....if I did I`d most likely been without a home and wife the same day.... anyway one day my garage will stock this beauty of a bike.

Hey Cheap...

Just returned from a trip to The Dragon. As soon as I get my photos purchased from Killboy, Zee Foto and Dragon Slayer Photos, I'll post some here.

The bike was awesome. Having taken the Triple to The Dragon last year and now taking the 675 this year I have a pretty good comparison of the handling between the two. Remember that my Speed Triple was an '01 when reading this... Significant difference in suspension components in the '05 and up Triples...

The 675, being a little less that 100 lbs lighter, is much easier to flick around in the tight confines of The Dragon. I didn't have to work nearly as hard to ride fast through the very tight transitions. The 675 really shines on this type of tarmac. There are no Chicken Strips left on either tire... While there on the Speed Triple, I still had about 1/4" on the rear and 3/8" on the front. The 675 just feels much more planted and confident at severe lean angles.

However, last year I rode the Speed Triple from Indiana to The Dragon without any complaints. This year, mostly due to a very limited amount of time to make the trip, and the fact that the 675 is not a lot of fun to ride for really long stretches at a time, I trailered the 675 down with a friend and his MV Agusta F4.

Next summer, I will take a long bike trip with my brother and I will definately ride the 675 proudly wearing all of the luggage.

Keep an eye out for the pics from the Dragon. Take care of those boys over on the Speed Triple Forum...
