Hi y'all.

Just purchased the latest Superbike mag here in the UK.
Good reading for all the Triumph jinglies inside us all.

First One of the Journo's spends a day in the factory getting to follow his long-termer around the production floor - brilliant read.

Secondly Paul Young talks through the fettling process to create a BSS contender out of the 675.

Thirdly - and what this thread is all about really is that they place the 600 class of 2006 in the following outstanding order......

5th ZX-636R - the fat bird you would have a good time with
4th GSX-R600 - nothing wrong but not better than any other at anything
3rd YZF-R6 - Over-egged pudding - so focussed it's too hard to live with
2nd CBR600RR Old but so hard to fault
1st Daytona 675 - excels on the road and track - best handling chassis , subtle refined and truly sporty handling.

So who's read what comparisons around the world and what were the conclusions.

Oh - and in some other magazine Triumph had three bikes in the worlds top 10.

Fast Bikes

6. Ducati 749E +stunning looks +heritage +individuality of ownership +great on track -price -pace -power

5. Yamaha YZF-R6 +handling +speed +looks +track speed +technology -poor low to midrange power and fuelling, [steering] damper please!

4. Honda CBR600RR +won't scare you +splash of paint makes a wicked race replica -peak and midrange power -no slipper clutch -slow steering

3. Kawasaki ZX-6R +power +handling +fuelling +midrange +road/track balance -a [steering] damper still wouldn't hurt.

2. Suzuki GSX-R600 +looks +handling +performance +technology +cool exhaust -tall first gear -nothing happening below 8K rpm

1. Triumph Daytona 675 +character +speed +handling +brakes +looks noise +details -no slipper clutch -brick wall of a rev limiter

I've also seen 2 other mags with a test, I think the other was Motorrad, but no idea what the other was (in english anyway). Daytona won both of them too
