If that really is it, I like it. It does look Japanese, but that's not a bad thing. I do think if Triumph is looking elsewhere for inspiration, then Italy might be a better place to look.

WHat sells lately? Radial brakes, undertail exhausts, inverted forks, LED tails. Triumph did their homework, I can tell the bike is very U.S. targeted. We might not like it that much because it mimics the suzukawahondayamas but for the average squid that wants a nice bike it will be worth considering.

I like it.

I have been waiting for a smaller triple. Shouldn't it make more power though? the torque looks the same as the S4. They should've made it a 750, it's like thet hacked a cylider off a ZX9 or 900RR, neither of which have been made for nearly a decade.
Looks like the bodywork is designed so the fairing sides and lowers can be removed and left off without it looking odd. A naked version would confuse people with the big S3. I like the 595 style tubular type frame and tube tressal subframe. It will be a tasty beast without its clothes.
I have never been a fan of under seat exhausts. They only add weight and complexity.

I like it... looks more modern, but i dont think it will age as rapidly as the angular looks of the current daytona. I also really like the trellis rear sub-frame.

Personally I like the styling. I am not gonna consider this the "Real thing" rather I am gonna wait till triumph announces it. But If it does stay the same I definitely like the styling, but I will miss the Dayton 600/650's I love the way that bike looks.

If triumph is actually gonna make it, I think it will be a good wake-up to Japan while some of us wont like it, it will definitely be some thing for the big four to worry about. I dont have anything against Japanese sport bikes I just want some diversity in the market. I think the bike might just steal some customers from the big four and a competitive market place is a good market place

Yep,
this months Bike magazine has a 32 page supplement dedicated to the new 675, they got to ride the prototype which is 95% the finished deal, they put it up against the CB600 RR Honda & the Kawasaki 636 and it allegedly was much stronger than either, the testers had only good things to say, of course it's early days yet, but fingers crossed this could be the bike we've been waiting for.
Now to save for a deposit.
Ps some photos on t595.net

Have you read the BIKE article? That magazine won't hit our shores for another month or so. Where did they test it, how much power did it turn out at the rear wheel, how much does it weigh, and all the rest of the good stuff. We all know pretty much what it looks like now.
