Question about new fairings...

Just realized after riding in the pacific north west and a lot of rocks and sand and stuff hit my bike here. I got nicks and scratches all over the place. I also had a little accident where my bike tipped over and shoved my right front blinker through the fairing. Need to replace or repair my fairings. Any suggestions on which fairings to get that aren't track related. Just need some replacements that are like the OEMs. Nothing fancy. I want to keep it like it was for the most part. I see these body kits on ebay for $550 or so from japan. I think they aren't that good. but any suggestions would be great! Thanks guys!

The roads here are not kind to fairings, even if you don't tip over. All the paint on the leading edge of my fairing lowers has been scoured off by the sand and rocks created by people who insist on driving around on studded snow tires. It's a problem, and I sympathize with your pain!

As far as replacement fairings for cheap, have you considered repair instead of replacement? You can often repair the plastic using Plastex or ABS cement. I haven't tried ABS cement on 675 plastic, so it may or may not work, but it worked fine on my TT600 when it needed help. Paint can be much tougher, especially if your bike is yellow. The other colors are easier to match and to get touch-up paint for.

Other than race fairings, I don't know of any aftermarket parts other than the stuff from China on eBay. Who buys that stuff, anyway? Somebody must buy it, or they wouldn't sell it.

Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.

The china stuff is ok but fitment(on suzuki's anyway) is a little off. A friend put it on his gsxr 1k and the paint was supposed to be rizla blue and it was more purple.
