Brake light switch

Hi, another question. On my 2010 Daytona 675 I have adjusted the brake pedal to drop it slightly but I cannot figure how to adjust the brake light switch to give a bit more travel before it comes on. Do I need a special tool to turn it? I disconnected the spring but cannot see how to screw it in or out to change the travel.

Just for my own info, why do you want to do that? Isn't it better that it comes on immediately?

The little metal rod that the spring goes through does not move. There is a threaded ring that goes around the outer plastic portion of the switch body. Twisting that threaded ring moves the entire switch body up and down in the rearset. There is no need to remove the spring to adjust the switch sensitivity.

If you need pics, let me know...
