any issues with 675s

Looking into adding another Triumph to the collection for some track use and spirited riding. Is there any common issues to watch for or be prepared for. Looking at an 06 any issues from year to year?

The most common issues have been:

Regulator/rectifier issues
Battery failure (especially if not kept on a tender)
ExUpBv Valve malfunctioning in the exhaust (seizing or poor adjustment).
Cam Chain adjuster failure (Seizing and thus not automatically tightening the cam chain, which can result in interference with the case)

These are rare occurances. I have two 675's. A street bike with about 12,000 miles and a dedicated track bike with about 2,000 miles and neither have had any significant problems.

I've kept them both on battery tenders and change the oil every 3,000 miles or after every track weekend on the track bike.

If the bike is well maintained, you should be fine.

Good luck with your purchase.

Well, yeah, there's one very serious issue, and it is expensive. Once you get on the track, you will be hooked. It's a problem.

Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.

Hello. I have an early 06 with lots of mods and besides sevetral track days I have used the baby to do 800 mile days on several cross country trips. Others have told you to keep a tender on it and always check and change oil. Other than eating 2 sets of tires in 12,000 miles I couldn't think of anything to keep you from enjoying a super bike. Enjoy Hap

Track days are only a gateway drug. Then you start racing. Ooooweeee! Better stick to Coke. Coca-Cola. What did you think I meant?

The biggest problem is not enough good riding weather.
