Removing pillion footpegs

I would like to remove my pillion footpegs + brackets to tidy up the rear of my '06 Daytona 675 .
Since I fitted the seat cowl they are now hanging there doing nothing but adding weight

My question - is there a blank-plate available to cover the bolt-holes in the frame ? or will I have to make something ?

Thanks in advance ,
Al.

I actually use those holes to mount shorty turn signals. Looks pretty slick and you can't really notice them unless they're on.

Another (cheaper) option is to just take the pegs off and put the bolts back in and/or paint the footpeg pads with black paint.

It does clean up the bike well. Plus they are easy to put back on if you take a long trip and need bungee points for luggage.

Several brands are available. I found these on eBay a year or so back for $30.00.

Triumph offers them for $35.00. Part number A9708094.

Thumbs up

Thanks guys - very helpful.
That looks just like what I want.

I'll speak to my local Triumph dealer tomorrow.

You can see in the attached picture that I actually use those holes to mount shorty turn signals. They're really inconspicuous.

Thumbs up More info/pics please - whisky_Richard

I thought my English was fluent but "inconspicuous" had me googleing...
SWEET looking rear end! (-and general) But pic shows your hair trim better than details of plate (if you sport one), undertail (?) and rear signals. Is that actual CA weather now?
Would it be possible to get more info/pics about where you got the signals and the above?
I got the OEM replacement part for the pegs, aftermarket muffler, Watsen front signals but would like to get the plate "down under" although would go illegal here.
My Triumph history goes back pre-Hinckley so drilling and hammering is up the alley...

See the attachment for a cropped (but not zoomed, will have to take more pics if this doesnt make sense) pic.

I made a bracket to hold my license plate and license plate lights to my battery box from underneath.

I also made two plates to hold shorty turn signals to the rear peg bosses. Though I wish I got the LED version (particularly after a bulb burnt out).

The license plate bracket is actually bent in reverse of how it is shown so it doesnt get eaten by the tire in a hard bounce. I have a technical drawing in inch units for the license plate bracket (though I don't think i followed it when i made the bracket).
