Triumph TOR Silencer Map.

I havegotten a great deal from the dealer for a Triumph silencer for my '07. I am somewhat new (never) at electronic tuning. Can I down load the program and put it on a lap topand install/tune the pipe myself without buying a PC or Tuneboy?

Nope...

Dealer should install the TOR tune for you for free if you buy the can from them... Your bike may already have the TOR tune even though you are running the stock can. Many dealers went ahead and loaded the TOR tune due to some early issues with the standard tune...

You're right, they will program it for free. I will put the silencer on and wait for a good day to get her set up. Thanks!!

you might be privy to some info I am not but i don't believe there is a "TOR" map specifically.

There are 8 maps in all (4 of them tuned for Brazil): stock, arrow 2-2, arrow 2-1, and a generic "aftermarket" map.

I had abysmal results with my Dominators on the "aftermarket" map. Bad mileage, not the performance boost i expected... Switching to the A2-2 map fixed all that.

I have the TOR on and ran the bike but have not had it under load yet. At idle, she doesn't miss a beat. Revving up has no bumps or stumbles. I may be able to get out tomorrow and test it at speed. High of 41 degrees isn't the best for a spirited ride. 53 tomorrow. I won't need long to know but it really revs good and sounds great.

For what it's worth, I have been monkeying with maps a bit. I have come to the conclusion the TOR map is probably the best for any aftermarket exhaust short of a full system. The others I tried made the bike too rich.

Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.

Update.

FINALLY got to get the pipe programmed and it runs fantastic. I no longer has that nasty little hicup in cornering throttle and is an absolute joy. Fueling is perfect. Now, the quest for HP.
