Tarting Up The Baby.

I ordered the Arrow slip on (newer design) and Arrow rearsets today, since I can't bear to trade the bike on the Gixxer 1 thou. I have two questions for you: has anyone used the Triumph race cams on a street bike, if so what types of gains have you seen. Secondly, is there a cat replacement pipe for our bike similar to the Yosh pipe for in line fours?

Race cams are going to require the valves and springs to be changed as well.

Since the CAT is built into the stock header, along with the ExUpBv, the only way to get rid of it is to either put in a full system or cut out the CAT and ExUpBv and replace it with a straight pipe.

JD Hord, Hord Power, makes a 3 into 1 collecor pipe that uses the stock headers, cut off just in front of the stock collector and replaces everything from the collector back to the mid pipe.

Thanks Trip. You hear of any gains or more importantly power band changes going with the full monty cams ect.? Hord pipe sounds simple too and should open up the top end but does it sacrifice torque? I'll also contact Hord since they seem to have their poop together on this stuff,

JD knows his stuff. He's posted some dyno charts over on triumph675.net of the various mods he's tried.

He'd be the best person to talk to that is fairly local (Bucyrus, Ohio).
