Fall Photos of the Stable

Spent the day clearing out the garage and getting things ready for winter storage. Thought I'd take the chance to shoot a couple of photos while I had things out of the garage...

The Bikes, Trailer and Tow Vehicle

The Track Bike

The Street Bike (with panniers, tank bag and tent fitted)

Everything still needs to be cleaned and waxed for the winter, so nothing is clean in this photo. Today was all about getting the garage ready for the winter... Next comes cleaning up the toys and tucking them away...

It's a sad time in Indiana... Winter will suck!

Very nice! Looks like you are ready to escape at the drop of a hat. Or would that be flag?

Either - Depends on what's calling... Race track or back roads...

Is the race season kaput? Are year-round track days possible in your area?

Nope... No more track days until April... I'm pretty much done riding until then unless I take the street bike out for a blast on the weekends...

Thank goodness for rain, and not snow. It's cold and wet, but you can still ride. The bike is a mess by spring, but so it goes.

Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.

I live a little north of Triple. Once it snows and the "salt" hits the road, my bikes won't see pavement until after the first sustained rain in the spring. Trip, whos rear sets on your Graphite?

WoodCraft on both bikes. They are set up identcal to each other in terms of controls. WoodCraft Clipons, Pazzo Shorty Levers, Speed Triple Throttle Tube, WoodCraft GP Shift Rearsets.

Makes moving back and forth between street bike and track bike a very easy process...

If the street bike was a different bike than my track bike I wouldn't be worried about it, but since they are the same bike, the riding feel is exactly the same. It helps keep my feeble old mind from making shifting mistakes...

Red face Noodles for rest of the month...

Thanks to you my Mastercard got maxed out. Just placed an order with Watsen Design for those flushmount signals. A trailer like yours is on the list - show up on the track day with the "Eat this!!" is something I go to bed with a smile with; in my dreams.
Question: I have the rear panniers and like you of course got rid of the passenger pegs. But doing touring I put the pegs back on to hook the straps to. Do you ride them as seen? Any flutter at high speed?
Am I the only one that have volumes of water trapped inside the pannier rain covers (-although tightening them up). I'm considering making draining holes....

kneepad...

Sorry about the noodles... Been there myself ...

Yes, I ride with them as seen with passenger pegs removed. I simply attach the elastic tie downs around the subframe tube and they sit just fine.

They don't flap even when doing the ton, not that I would know anything about that...
