2007 No Start...faulty ecm?

I recently traded a running 600 for a non running 675. After replacing fouled plugs I got it started but it won't run at idle. It has multiple codes including map, baro, iat, exhaust valve. Sometimes if I reset the ecm it will idle but not rev(complete opposite) and will have a total different set of codes! My theory is the former owner who washed the bike and got water in the spark plug tubes fried the ecm while testing. I don't want to waste my money on an ecm if it won't fix it. I found someone with a 2008 ecm and plugged it in but it wouldn't crank then. Is there an initializing process or will this ecm simply not work on my 2007? Anyone? I really want to get this bike going!

I'm not an expert, but if the battery was dead for any length of time, the bike may need to be reprogrammed. I don't see water being the issue unless it was high pressure.Hang in there, there are some experts at this site that can help.

Next time you try it, write down the codes. Maybe they will help figure it out.

Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.
