2006 675 - stickers / decals question?

Hi, Just a quick one from a fairly new 675 owner.

It's a 2006 Black 675 and I noticed that the gold decals/stickers look like they are just stuck on rather than sealed with a layer or two of lacquer / clear coat.

Can anyone confirm whether this is how it's supposed to be (ie just stickers and no clearcoat) and if so whether I need to take any precautions when washing/polishing etc?
