Brake squeak?

So the front brakes on my 08 D675 squeak when pulling to a stop, I'm not too worried about it till now but the squeak now happens whilst riding normally, sounds similar to the brake squeak but could be unrelated, uneven surfaces do seem to make it come in, cannot make the noise whilst just compressing the forks.

Any ideas what it could be?

Bike is still under warranty so I will be able to take it to the dealer to get it looked at, but I would like to know if this is a known problem with Daytona's.

You might try a shot of brake cleaner, but be very careful not to get it on painted surfaces as if may damage the finish. The 675 uses semi-metalic pads and if you don't use them somewhat aggressively, they can begin to squeek. This is especially true on my track bike with the rear brake, because it seldom sees any use at all.

Good luck getting it sorted.

Try getting up to 70-80 mph on a straight road with no traffic behind and do an aggressive slowdown to 10-15 mph, accelerate back up to 70-80 quickly, hit the binders again, accelerate quickly and brake once more. 3 to 4 times while keeping the pads hot should shed the glazed surface of the brake pad and eliminate the squeaking.
