What kind of wrench do I need for the banjo bolts holding the brake lines on my 04 Daytona? I didn't realize they weren't regular bolt heads, but apparently they're not.

I think I used something like a 17mm socket with twice the teeth (12 rather than the standard 6). I had to press it on pretty tight and had to tap it out with a screwdriver to get the bolt out of the socket, but it worked. I replaced my banjos with brand new Goodrich banjos and swapped out the lines for dual braided stainless. The brakes feel quite a bit better now and the speed bleeders make things easier.

I finally used a 9/16 open end, which didn't fit well, but well enough to get the job done. What's the deal with those funky bolt heads? There must be some special tool for them, but why? Very irritating.

I ordered a couple of speed bleeders with my braided lines, but I had to guess at the size, and I guess wrong. Oh well, it was easy enough to bleed even without those.

Yeah, your best bet is to just swap em out for Goodrich bolts. They're pretty cheap to buy and make a world of difference, should you do any future brake mods.
