Hello all... I am new to this site, and to the world of Triumph. I've owned many bikes, and bought my Daytona 955 CE last summer. I've enjoyed it tremendously, it is a serious piece of business. I am also an avid touring rider, and normally average five to eight hundred miles per day on a longer trip... my question is, can any of our members here make suggestions to improve riding comfort for someone who does not want to simply cruise the strip?

I have been drawn for three flags this september, and am thinking about trying it on the Daytona... any of your thoughts are welcome.

I do little else than tour mine. Before I put any real miles on it though, I did upgrade to Heli-bars, and the Triumph gel seat.

My right wrist was getting kinked, and the inch up, and inch back that the Heli-bars offer, did the trick.Read up on the bar risers here

I also spent a day on the stock seat, and a day on the gel seat. I was less fatigued after the day on the gel seat.

I like the soft saddle bags. Awsome pics too. I bought the Joe rocket brand and like them alot. They will come in good use for my trip to NY this summer.
I rode my daytona to Denver CO and it wasn't that bad 7 hours. I might try the Heli-bars and my Corbin saddle made a differance also.

Hey Stuka - Well I am a member of the Iron Butt Asscoiation,

I ride my Daytona T595 just as far as the boys on Honda ST1100's cruisers and a bunch of other touring bikes. I have no problems going the extra mile.

I changed my seat to a Corbin, YEAH! makes it all worth while. I also put on a throttle lock, mechanical cruise control and also a wrist rest on the throttle side when I still want to be in control. The only other real mod is a tank bag with a water bladder, granola bars and a rain suit. Oh, and my MP3 player, Deep Purples lazy through the rockies is a must!!

I live in Calgary and it's not uncommon for me to go to Golden or Revelstoke for lunch. I've ran up to the chuck over to Jasper then back down Hwy 93 to home again in one day. I LOVE my bike and ride it alot. I put on over 35,000 km per season on average and most of it is out on the highway.

Ride man Ride !!!

Hey got_twisties!!

Where did you get the jack paint job on your bike. I'm looking for one to put on mine. It' finishes the bike off so well.

Thanks

Twisties ride on the pix is the 955 (04) not a 600.

Jack Lilleys carries the union jack cockpit fairing but only for newer model 955 (04's and up?).

Hope that helped. :-D

Yeah, that is a Triumph accessory that is made for the Daytona 600 as well as the 02-03 Daytona955 & 04-05 Daytona 955. Perhaps with enough requests, they wil put out a Jacked upper for the 97-01. If I am not mistaken, that Flag scheme is new for 2004, yet they make one for the 02/03.
