G'day For Oz, and a couple of ?'s
Morning.
After getting my hands on a 95 D12 back in 06,(link to pick below) finally made it onto the forum. I've decided that this is a keeper, anything else I get is going to have to share the shed, and as such its time to start tweeking.
Normal things, front brakes and suspension to start with, and I've got a couple of questions.
I've been through the parts swap thread, can someone who has swapped the front brake callipers over for 6 pot ones, fill me in on the details please, what exactly they used, do you need to do anything with the master cylinder etc, or is it just a case of bolt off the old and bolt on the new.
Also has anyone found an oil cooler from anything else that fits?
Thanks in advance

G'day rossc0,
Tokicos off a Hayabusa are the popular choice. They bolt straight up, no mods needed. The same calipers are used on the ZRX1200 as well and perhaps some others that I can't remember right now.
I have bought a couple of bikes from Betterbikes, pretty good guys and they don't sell rubbish.
Nice looking D12 you have there.
Cheers,
Roden

Thanks for that, Roden. I've now bought a set of Busa capilers, and at the end of the month shes going it to get the Racetech treatment on the front end, Gold valves and new springs, along with getting the calipers fitted. Then I start saving to do the back end.....
Ross.

Rear end upgrade
Both DaytonaCharlie and myself have the Race Tech front end with Gold Seals (I used their oil as well) and we both feel it was a great improvment over stock.
I have a Hagon rear shock and so did DaytonaCharlie, but then he went for the Penske. Now I take the liberty of pasting DC's evaluation of the Penske from another thread (DC, I don't know why you left this out of your post above as RossCo said he was doing the rear too):
Well, if you've got the $ there's no better replacement than the Penske shock. It has adjustable ride height, a remote reservoir, compression and rebound dampening, I went with the PS-8987 Remote. The difference is amazing, totally transforms the ride. Example: there are 6 clicks of dampening adjustment on the stock Triumph shock, the Penske has 45, nuf said. It's expensive tho.

DC liked his former Hagon too, but its not in the same class as the Penske. Naturally there is a big price difference.
All this discussion was on the thread titled, "Daytona Deliberations". You can find it on page 3 (at this moment) and you may want to read the posts.
