Mirrors..can anyone help?

Hi there,

I own a 2004 Triumph Dayton 955i. Just this morning I snapped off my RHS mirror. I've looked through ebay and there doesn't seem to be any spare mirrors on sale. Does anyone have one spare lurking around? Are there any alternative models? I use my mirrors all the time and I feel really unsafe riding around without one, esp on the right side.

Many thanks!

youch!!

Welcome to my world man! I have a 2000 model and there are never any extras on here or ebay. Once in a while you see one or a pair pop up, but as I recall it's not much more to order a new one from bikebandit. However the later models like yours I think weren't as bad cost or supply wise. Good luck man and keep your eyes on ebay...we all know what happens once you've placed your order elsewhere...it shows up on ebay!

here is a thread I just put up and explained what I did. Also, the mirrors for a 2004 on bike bandit is $100 a piece.

Hello Techman,

Do those mirror bases just bolt straight on? Did you have to do any fiddling or drilling? Many thanks.

If you look at your mirror bases, you will see an allen head bolt holding the mirror to the bolt, You remove that bolt, and the new mirrors have the same style bolt, you remove that bolt. Then take the new mirrors, and put them on the triumph mirror base. As they use loctite on the bolts, you will need to put some muscle into it, being careful not to stip the bolt head.

It should be easy, though one of the new mirrors I had a problem with because I stripped the bolt. So I had to do some cutting and grinding. They use loctite on it, so my suggestion would be to heat up that area to get the loctite to loosen up.
