Aussie Triumph riders question.

Hi Guys,
Just new to the forum after buying a 03 Daytona 955i, unfortunately I have a broken female fuel coupling problem after a week of ownership. Went to go for a weekend ride only to see fuel pouring out on the driveway. Can anyone give me the details of someone who sells metal ones in Australia to save this problem reoccurring with the plastic (crap) ones.

Thanks in advance, a pissed off Steve.

http://triumph1.com/daytona.htm and you need part number TTFKD-1

This isn't Australian but you can buy online and have them in around 7-8 days.

I don't know anyone in OZ selling these. If there are any, they're keeping quiet about it.

No Luck

Thanks mate, I couldn't find any in OZ and I saw the same site you sent me and was going to use it as a last resort because of our **** dollar. I do have a plastic one but wanted to save going through the drama again. I will have to buy some from Team Triumph.

Well to be frank,,,have you checked recall on your bike, originaly they replaced them with brass ones, until the supply ran low and started doing the recall with plastics,,,any Triumph dealer in Aus can get hold of them,,I hate to say it but give Peter Stevens a call, they have them, but most likely not the store your near,,,lol...

Hi Reaper,
Yes mate, to answer your question the previous owner had the male ones replaced under recall. I checked with our local Triumph dealer and they only have the plastic couplings. I will be checking other dealers for metal female couplings tommorrow. A pain in the you know what. I now also have the hassle of trying to get the left over thread out......
