While learning to perfect the art of riding on one wheel, I've replaced several sets of front fork seals due to hard landings.Would stiffer springs help this from occuring, or is there still the dame amount of fluid pressure in the forks. I weigh about 170lbs w/ all my gear and I haven't researched this much yet.Any opinions or ideas besides the one I get from friends, "stop doing wheelies."

It's the nature of the beast........ Do wheelies....... go through fork seals. It's just the way it is.

Just had a set of RaceTech gold valves & springs put into my Daytona 900.

The difference in handling and 'road feel' is like night & day. It feels much more predictable, much more planted in corners and oddly enough, the ride has improved slightly as well.

The RaceTech stuff is a great match for the Ohlins rear shock.....

I just put race tech springs in my forks this weekend and will let you know. The stock spring had no preload and the race tech were a little longer with a sugested preload. The hardest part of doing the fork rebuild was cuting the spacer to fit the new springs.

I recomend no preload. I bike has a nice bounce to it after the wheel touches down again. I'm going to cut the spacers down so there is no preload and it will still ride a bit stiffer and nicer than stock.

The forks on the 98 T595 are pretty easy to work on, nothing like I thought they would be. :-)
