What companies offer hardshell luggage that would fit the earlier Daytona 900/1200s?

I like the Givi top cases, but they don't appear to have any Triumph fitments in their catalog.

What luggage are some of you using, and how does it attach? More importantly, how easy is it to put on & take off?

I am setting up the Daytona for dual duty this year - weekend high-adrenaline solo rides and more sedate 2-up sport touring with my wife. Given that Corbin wants $250 for a dinky little backrest - one might as well put that money towards something more useful such as a top case.......

Thanks in advance!

That actually looks OK!! I had an old Sprint 900 with Givi fitments, but the "wing" type rack was huge and obtrusive. What is the model number etc for the one you use?

On another note, does anyone have any ideas about what I could put on the botton front lip of my fairing to prevent stone damage, and avoid continula re-painting? Is there some sort of clear film to be had anywhere, preferably pre-cut/formed to fit?

The Givi mount on my bike is the Universal one for mounting on tubing style racks.

But, I don't know who makes the rack. Maybe DietDrThunder will see this thread and comment.

Yes, I had it too until I replaced my side panels. Now I'm considering putting some of the 3M clear chipguard film along the front lower section.

3M stuff in kit form

Thank you for the help so far.

Do you think that one of the top boxes could be fitted to the optional Triumph rear rack (the cast alumimum one?) Or would it not be large enough?

Ideally, the fixtures & mounting points should be as unobtrusive as possible when the top box is off the bike.....

On the other topic, the 3M film is good stuff. The formal name used to be '3M clear urethane abrasion resistant film' and it came in a variety of thicknesses and different sized rolls. Your local auto body supply store should be able to help you out.
