new owner
Hi all i am a new owner of a trumph daytona 955i and well happy, this seems to be one of the biggest sites i have visited for owners. Ive owned various bikes various sit up and beg bikes ie multistrada, tiger, 1200gs,tdm900, this is my first sports bike rode it back from the dealers two weeks ago pouring of rain and gail force winds, got home and i was aching all over, Fought it was the bike but it was me being over tense, went out at the weekend with a few friends, good weather r1's etc, And nobody left me, what a smiling bit of kit this is. Riding position just a little bit awkward on the wrists. Got a chance of a set of heli bars that came of 2000 model, mines a 2006 model in the sexy black will these fit o.k.(help would be appreciated). Was wanting to keep this bike as a long term bike as it is so much fun. What is the most mileage anyone has on there's. Cheers all Tony

I've got a 2002. Sorry...
I'm not sure about the 2006...
Call Mickey at Cohen Motorsports. He should know...

I found that for the first while when riding mine I had to keep reminding myself to take the wieght off of my arms and use my legs and torso to hold my body in position. It wasn't as big a change for me as I traded up from a Katana to the Daytona but it was still much more agressive of a riding position. It gets easier and eventually you are doing it without realising it.

Stinking Heli Bars
Hey! I think Lehbs is suggesting you don't need no stinking heli bars
Clip-ons on my D1200SE. Makes the girls scream and shout.
I'm going back to sleep now.
