I have a small leak that started to drip on the underside near the drain and filter fitting of my Super III. I tried teflon tape, but it's still dripping. Has anyone else had this problem? What did you do to fix it? It's a simpe problem, there has to be a simple answer, right? Isn't there supposed to be some kind of crush washer between the sensor threads and the sump area? Mine does not have one. The last owner might have misplaced it. I would think that it would be bad form for Triumph to forget to space two mating surfaces without using a washer? I don't see one on Bike Bandit fisches. Does anyone know what the factory set up is?

I seem to recall having a washer when I reassembled my bottom end months ago BUT it's been some time and I have a 1200. I was going to pull panels tomorrow to changeout carbs and redo the front suspension so I'll take a look see when I do.

I was going to recommend teflon tape so it's a good thing I read you're whole post. Interestingly, Dad, cousins, uncles, etc always told me a couple of wraps do it but Pingel has you wrap their fuel taps 6 or so times. Maybe a few more wraps?

It's bleeding right trough the switch...No amount of tape will fix this. It's time for a new switch. Oil all over the rear wheel, what a pain!!!ARGHH!!!!Serenity NOW!!!!
