2 questions about 04 955i

I bought my 04 daytona with Vario bars already on it and seem to have a problem with my wrists cramping and my hand falling asleep. Does anyone know how to adjust these? i've read some threads on here but none seem to address this issue. I am 6'4 and 240 and get a lil cramped on it after a couple hours. The other thing is I have bottom out spped bump twice and was wondering how to raise the bike an inch or two to prevent this from happening and denting my exhaust any worse. Thank you

I too am large like you. Maybe you need to adjust the brake/clutch levers down so that your hands aren't bent backwards all the time. That seemed to help me a little. Also, I had to focus on always squeezing the tank with my knees and putting my feet farther back on the pegs which helped to keep my body weight off of my arms. In the end, I'll have to find a throttlemeister or equivalent so that I can relax both of my arms instead of just the left. I may even start wearing a wrist brace on my right wrist. To help keep my long back straight, I am thinking of ordering a 'back-a-line' type of kidney belt.

My wife is probably right when she says I need to exercise and lose about 20 lbs.

Hope this helps.

I have not heard of a way to raise the rear just because that would throw off the frontend geometry, reducing your steering angle and making the bike unstable. If you can come across the wrench or find a mechanic who has one you can screw down the preload rings on the top of the rear spring. This effectively stiffens the rear suspension.

With your weight you might need a new spring for your rear shock. For sure start with a preload adjustment and set sag on your bike. If you still have issue look into a new spring.
