A little bird ....

I heard from a pal...that talked to a friend, that got first hand from a dealer, to NOT buy a new bike, unless it was a 1175 Daytona, one that was modeled after the 675...my pal asked the dealer and the dealer then played dumb....we might have something here....this dealer is one of the few dealers in the country that is labeled Platinium. So.....what do yall think?...There is the dealer meeting in Brittian in a few weeks, might we get supprised then?

Back to the Future?

I already have a Daytona 1200SE, but it is a 1999 model! Quite top heavy and also 495 lbs. (225kg), but she accelerates like stink

I certainly hope there is a new big Daytona in our future. I assume she would have three cylinders, not four as in the D1200. I also hope that Triumph would take a clue from the KTM RC8 and make provision for multi-adjustments, so tall ones (like me) can fit on it.

Go 'Tona

Would be cool but I've been told soooo many times by people I know at Triumph's US headquarters in Newnan, Ga. (just down the street from me) that they've been told over and over again "there is no new liter+ Daytona in the works" so that means there is one of course!

still not holding my breath,
dc

Other Motorcycle: anything I can get.
The new litre plus bike will not be called a Daytona, it is a triple and we will see it late 09. It will be around 1200cc.

why would it not be a daytona?
there is a 1050 street triple, tiger and sprint i believe, so surely if they were going to go even bigger than 1050, it would be upto bsb/wsb capacity regulations, therefore a sportsbike, and they would never ditch the "daytona" brand
