Another new guy with a T595

I just picked up a Yellow 1998 T595 with 13K miles. Came with a Pit Bull stand, tinted double bubble screen, high pipe, and frame sliders. I took it for it's first shakedown yesterday just a quick 100 miles around the Santa Cruz mountains. I have a regular route I take to compare bikes. I work for a dealer so I get to ride lots of different bikes and use the same route to campare bikes. I was really surprised at the torque this bike has. Comfy, light tight quick turning. Fun bike I'm glad I bought it. The only recall not done is the Fuel fittings.

One problem I had was the exhaust header dragging on right handers. Scuffed it a few times yesterday but my concern is when I take this bike to the track. I am going to try to dial up more pre-load to help the ground clearance issue or try to an exhaust system I can't drag.

I love the bike though.
cheers

fonseca, Welcome to the forum.

The primary pipe was moved in '99 or '00 to prevent dragging. Someone will hopefully come along with more concrete info.

My '99 looks pretty much exactly the same so far as the exhaust configuration is concerned.

You don't by chance know what the name of your Yellow is do you? I'm trying to figure out what to buy as touchup paint.

I'll look under the seat. Sometimes there is a paint code tag with CARB info on California models. I'll get back to you.

I the mean time try these guy too. I used to work with them.

Good Triumph dealership.
