A fix for too small or slippery grips, or vibration

I have large hands and found the grips on my motorcycles too small in diameter. Since I play tennis, (and have the same problem with racket handles) the solution for my motorcycles was obvious - just wrap the motorcycle grips with leather tennis grips.

If you have large hands and want to bulk up the grip, first use an "overgrip" wrap and then wrap again with a black leather Wilson perforated grip.

If your objective is to make your grips less slippery, or reduce vibration a little, just use the black leather perforated grip alone. The perforated grip is a little tacky and therefore less slippery. They are a little padded and therefore feel soft, and will reduce vibration a little too.

Wraping is easy to do and takes only a few minutes. However, if you have never re-gripped a tennis racket, you may want an explanation. So I advise going to a tennis shop where you will likely find someone who knows how to re-grip a racket handle (not a know-nothing big box store). They may even wrap your motorcycle grips for you. Wilson overgrips come in various colors and cost $8. Wilson black leather perforated grips are also $8.

Shown is a grip on my D1200SE. They are about 6 months old. When worn, just re-grip again.
