cylinder order

This seems like a no brainer, but, then again, at the moment it feels like I have no brains. I got interrupted while changing the plugs on my '95 Super III. When I got back to the job a few days later, I couldn't remember which is cylinder 2 and which is cylinder 3. Cylinder one is the leftmost (as you sit on the bike) and it stands to reason that cylinder 2 is the in the center. But if that's the case, the plug wires cross each other, rather than take a more direct route to the cylinders. The bike's firing order is 1-2-3, but which cylinder is 2 and 3 (as you sit on the bike)? Believe it or not, the factory service manual does not list this (maybe they assume you're a bit more aware than I seem to be).

Certainly on 97+ triples they go 1; 2; 3; left to right.
Can't see why they would have 3 in the middle on any of the configurations.

Got it!

Yeah, that's what I thought. Connected the plug wires using this left to right order and the bike fired right up.
