Gas leak stained my frame!!! Solutions????

So I had bought my bike from ebay (Don't do it unless you get it checked out first) and it started leaking gas from two tube seals on the left of the tank where the vent from the gas tank is. The seals were cracked and a verrrrry slow drip started. Well it picked up a little bit of grease and grime on the way down my fairing and landed on my powder coated frame and continued to run down until it hit the ground. Needless to say, there is a small puddle under my bike now after a week. I finally got the parts I ordered from triumph (which took 2 weeks and 95 cents each) to fix it. The leak is stopped now but I go to clean the bike and the frame is still dirty. The D@MN Powder coat is like it's stained. Anyone else run into this problem and found a solution you can use to clean it off without ruining the powder coat? I have a two foot brown stain on my silver powder coat going from my tank running down to my foot rest to the ground. Pisses me totally off after I just got a new paint job (Which I will be posting pictures of shortly!)

I had a stain like that on my '98. Take the finest steel wool you can find and gently polish it off. Then finish with a good polishing compound to bring the shine back. That's all I could find that would work.

Stain removal

You could try a good solvent , Xylene would be my first try.
In the UK it is sold as "Hammerite paint thinner"
Dont know if it would harm the powder coat, but it is certainly safe on "std" factory paint, if used carefully on a soft cloth.

Try a little baking soda. Mix into a paste with water and rub gently with a toothbrush. It may get into the texture of the powdercoat to clean and will not harm the finish.
