Ok, a bad CPS (not working at all or unplugged) will throw a code, but one that is sending false signals will not throw a code(If I remember correctly, mine went out a year ago). The sensor its self takes 5 minutes to replace(with no fairings).
The sensor is located on the left side of the motor right above/next to the stator cover...
