Fouling plugs?

I am looking to buy a 2004 Daytona 955i with 3500 miles on it. I talked to the mechanic at the dealership it is at and he said that the bike is no running right now, and has to take it down to the Triumph dealer to fhave the computer reflashed. He says it is fouling out plugs. But with only 3500miles on it could that be possible?
I live 300 miles from the dealer, and the mechanic says the bikes is in great shape, no dents or scratches etc, just the fouling problem. I was wondering if this could be something you guys may know off the top of your head if it was an easy fix or if I should stay away from the bike. and hopefully that is the only mechanical problem internally with the bike

Thanks
Aaron

Aaron, There can be any number of reasons for the plug fouling. One possibility is that the m/c had an offroad map loaded and still had the OEM can installed/reinstalled.

Possible, but I dought it. This seems to be a common problem with the daytona, shoot, my motor even does it, but that is when i start it and dont let it warm up and then shut it off(only if I do it like 2-3 times in a row)...It also seems to have alot to do with the fuel that you buy.....
