Sliders

Alright, I am looking for a set of sliders for my 03 955i and was wondering who has them on their bike and where they got them. I would like something that would protect my front fairings if the bike falls over, and possibly a swingarm slider that has spools for a stand. I saw some that have a rod that goes through the rear axle and has spools and a slider on each end, anybody have these? I have found some on ebay, but they didnt look like they would be very sturdy. So, who has frame sliders on their bike and what brand?

I put the skyking ones on my 04. They also have a sliders for the rear. 2 types, one that replace the bolts on the passenger pegs, and one that goes through the rear tire. Which helps also if you wanted to use a stand that is a 2 sided stand.

Shockwave, I've Skyking frame sliders on the '98, but nothing on the '04. In a tipover there will still be some damage down low to the side fairing, but it's a help.
also be aware that in certain crashs the slider can actually break the frame. Generally, from what I've read mainly incidents where the slider catchs onto something like a curb.

...which means that you're having a really bad day and the sliders being there or not being there wouldn't have made much difference either way.

If the bike is going over a curb, you're going to have wheel damage, swingarm damage, tank damage, subframe damage, fork damage or engine case damage, depending on how the bike hits the curb. The sliders wouldn't have helped or hurt either way but since the majority of crashes are low side, or slow speed drops, I'd say put them on. IMHO

I figure I would rather have frame sliders to protect against a low speed fall, or a parking lot tipover and risk damaging something else in a high speed crash. Most likely, if the bike hits something hard enough to break the frame, I'm going to have other things to worry about. I looked at the swingarm sliders and the only problem I saw is that I would have to take them off every time I wanted to put it on a stand. I think I am going to want something in the middle or front of the bike and a slider on the passenger mounts.
