New 955i Owner
I just purchased a 2003 Triumph Daytona 955i that has been wrecked and am in the process of fixing it up. Ive been looking for a Triumph forum and finally came up with this one. If anyone knows of a good place to buy used 955i parts, let me know, as of right now, I have most of the bike pieced back together, but I still need a passenger left bracket and footpeg, and possibly the front subframe, hopefully I can bend it back so everything lines up. Also, from what I hear the 955i is a pretty reliable bike, if theres any known problems, let me know what they are and what to look for.

I too bought a downed Daytona (04)
Pieced it together through ebay.
Just be patient and check daily...don't hesitate to e-mail a "buy now" offer either.
It's been about 9 months and it is all together and like new.

Ebay is a good place to look. You will be surprised what shows up just when you need it. She keep checking constantly. Check Imperial Sportbikes on Ebay, he usually parts out a lot of Triumph and Ducati bikes.
Bikebandit has OEM parts that may only be cheaper than the dealer by a dollar or two.
Welcome to the Tona life!

Thanks for the info, I have had the bike for a little over a week and so far have almost everything put back together. I painted the fairings today, came out pretty well considering it was my first time painting anything nice. I purchased a tail section through GDL cycles, little expensive, but it was the one I needed, everything else has been through ebay. Hoping to have the bike on the road in two weeks, weather permitting. The only things left are to get a passenger left bracket and footpeg, put the front back together, change the oil, build a front and rear stand for the bike, and get new tires on it.

stands
Any Ideas on how you are going to make the stands? I've been looking into building some myself. If anybody has some measurements of their store bought paddock stands,or pictures, that would help.

I posted a couple of pictures up in the member album section, will post more after the bike is done.
I sanded and polished about half the fairings today that I painted, little disappointed in the color, I dont think its going to match my tank, which means I am going to have to buy more paint and paint the tank and the front fender so it matches the rest of the bike. Paint came out alright considering it was my first time, had an issue with the edges of the fairings not getting covered very well, but I can touch those up.
I'm not sure exactly how I am building the stands. I have the single sided swing arm so I am going to find out what size rod fits in the axle, and make a stand like the ones they sell online. The front is a standard type stand according to my buddy, he has one that I am going to look at and just copy that. I will post up pictures when I make it, probably be this thursday before I have time to build it.
