Concerns about seal replacement on 02 Tona

I finally changed my front sprocket on the Tona. I went to a 17 tooth on the front. I haven't been able to really gauge the improvement because its still 30+ degrees here in the cold north. I did take it down a couple streets that werent covered in ice yet.

BUT.... I have a concern. While replacing my defective front outer main shaft seal, I punctured the inner seal. I started it up and let it run for a bit before I put the new outer seal on and I didn't see any leaks. SO I put on the new outer seal and finished the job. Should I be concerned about it? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

I'm not sure what you're talking about here - there is only ONE seal:
there's the bearing (24), the circlip (25) then the seal (26) - just one!; the sleeve (27) and the sprocket (28) lock washer (29) & nut (30)

re-prasing post

I stand corrected. I punctured the backside of the bearing housing #24. It looked plastic like the outer seal was. I Assumed that it was a seal. Anyway... that being said. Should I be concerned that I poked a hole through the back of that bearing case? Or should I just leave it?

I wouldn't worry about it - should be fine.
A tip I learned for pulling the seal to avoid scratching up the sealing surfaces (or the bearing) - insert a couple of self-tappers 180 deg apart into the face of the seal then grab the heads with some vize grips or pliers & pull it out.

Decosse-

I did what you recommended, except I went in too far with the screw, thats what poked the bearing housing. Right idea, just went a little too far.

Thanks
