in the last four months i've replaced my spark plugs twice. the dealership said it was running too rich and they were supposed to back them off. last week it happened again, i drove it that morning and tried to crank that evening and wouldn't crank. anyone else had the same problem?
(in case you're wondering i don't touch the throttle to crank it)

What do the plugs look like when you remove them?

I have an '03 955i that has the same problem....it ran rich from the day I got it....then I put an exhaust can on it and it got worse....I pulled the plugs a couple weeks ago and cleaned all the carbon off them; I have a tuneboy but none of the tunes offered seem to help much..I was thinking of trying to run a hotter plug in it...but I'm not sure...hella hard starts!!

I had that problem until I learned t let It warm up to operating temp. 160 or so. and never shut it down before
or it will foul the plugs the next time you try to start it.

thanks for the info. the plugs were extremely fouled and smelled of gas. i asked the dealer about hotter plugs and they advised against it. i haven't had the problem in a couple months now maybe because of the warmer weather.
