Smile New underseat exhaust and undertail 04 955i?

Hello Everyone,

I have not been able to post here in awhile due to traveling alot with work. Hope everyone is well and the bikes are running great.

I have an 04 955i, all black with carbon fiber kit. I know the exhaust system I want. The underseat by Trident - Wolf. While I have the bike apart for that I would also like to install an aftermarket undertail kit as well to clean up the rear ends look and flush mount front turn signals. I really like the looks of the Race Comp carbon fiber undertail kit but have not been able to find it. All the links here are not working. My next question is will it or another undertail kit fit with the underseat exhaust system from Wolf. I do not think it will be an issues but I would hate to buy the parts and then figure out they dont fit with each other?

Thanks for the assist,

Komodo

If I am not mistaken, the Wolf underseat exhaust has a license plate/turn signal relocation bracket with it and a heat shield which will cover the old undertail.

In case you want, though...Here is the website for Racecomp:

www.racecomp.com.au

I read that in the description block on their web site. Will the heat shield cover whichever undertail (new or old) from site anyhow? I also want to get rid of the rear turn signals with all in one brake / turn signal unit like the one race comp has. Thats what I would like to do anyhow.

When I click on RaceComp's link it says thge domain is up for sale. Does anyone know if they are or have closed or did they just change sites?

Any ideas or sugestions from people who have any expierence with this would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks Again,

Komodo

You are apprently entering '.com' instead of '.com.au' (They're in Australia)
Regardless if you click on the link in Kai's post it will take you straight there.

You can see by just looking at it, there is no way that undertail dress kit (or any frankly) will work with an undertail exhaust system.

I clicked on the link. It must be the settings on this work computer.

The few pics I have seen of the kit have not been close enough views for me to completely see the detail. I was thinking that it would not fit but wanted an owners opinion. Thanks.

Next question: Without an undertail kit is there another option of combining the rear brake light and rear turn signals into one unit while still using the untertail exhaust system?

hey, you've got to keep the undertray they provide as it's steel in order to take the heat of the exhaust system. I've got photos of the assembly, along with before/after videos here:

Cheers.

You cannot use any other undertail with our exhaust but you can use the integrated lights and indicator kit - that fits without problem and then you just don't use the indicator brackets we supply in the exhaust kit.. There is no need for anything to dress up the under tail once our exhaust is on by the way as you cannot see it as there are two exhausts right in the way and we provide a smaller neater license plate bracket so that's tidy too
