I have a question, has anyone had problems with the speedo 'sticking' occassionally? -if so any tips on how to remedy this?
Thanks in advance...
I'm new to the forum and am just finding my was around, so apologies if this has been in topic else where..or if i'm asking in the wrong place..

When you say 'sticking' can you clarify?
Does the digital speed reading remain at zero, but also sometimes works normally?
That scenario is a symptom of a low battery voltage. There is however an updated ECM program from your dealer that disables the Speed Sensor Error Check and will not exhibit this issue. Check out your battery however.

Yeah...

...Don't!

First of all, there is a degree of inacuracy in my speed-o anyway, so it can't be trusted.

Second, it might give you a little bit of a leg up on a cop that catches you doing 10 over. If he's a rider, he might let you slide if you tell him it's broken.

Third, (and probably the most "Shady" reason) your odometer doesn't clock off miles as fast.

Pull the wheel off and clean and regrease the speedo hub, It may be dry or packed with old crap and stiff grease.

Second, check the hub wiring all the way back to the harness for any signs of kinking, cracking, pinching, or rubbing that may have damaged a wire inside.

Good luck!
