HELP.....does the red ended fuel pipe go above the silver

HELP.....does the red ended fuel pipe go above the silver, or t'other way round

I removed the tank to put a new throttle cable on, and can't remember where the fuel pipes were when I started.

You'll see these from the right side of the bike....hope someone's out there.....

cheers

On my '04 'Tona it's red at the bottom and white at the top. The bottom one is the feed and goes to the right hand end of the injector rail and the white is the return from the left hand end.

But as Sprocketjockey has them the other way around maybe it doesn't matter. Possibly as long as pressurised fuel gets in the injector rail it may not matter from which end !!

That's my understanding. As long as the rail is pressurised, it doesn't care where the pressure comes from.

Many thanks and a very happy new year to you all

Many thanks to you both - moral of the story - take more care when dismantling !!
I put the red fuel pipe fitting to the upper fuel socket on my 2002 Daytona 955i and the silver end to the lower position....and it works - hurrah....and many thanks

I see the logic in pressurising the rail from either end - however I would never have worked that out being mechanically inexperienced, as I thought one was for main tank and one for reserve !!!! doh!!!

Many thanks and a very happy new year to you all

Put a small dot of red paint on the plate near the red connector. Then you don't have to remember which one goes where.

Why do Triumph fit different coloured pipes if it doesn't matter which way round they are connected? Perhaps it's something to do with factory assembly?
