Any word about (any) changes that may be in store for next year ?? If the Daytona was to get the type of upgrades the other two 955's did, I'd be thinking about going back to just one ride. What's the word in the UK ?

Still nothing ?? Well this months Motorcyclist has a tid-bit about all new open class Daytona punched out to 1100cc. AND if it's in a bike rag it has to be yesterdays news, to some extent at least. Come on, nobody's heard anything ????

no news from the UK,I think they are putting their effort into the new 680 sports triple to create a niche rather than compete with Jap 1000's.
In reality you can't exploit the full performance of a 955i Daytona on public roads, never mind the Jap ones.So real world performance that you can use fully might be a good option.I find that it is more fun when you know that you are using all of the performance rather than knowing you are only using 50% for most of the time. That's why I'm probably going for less performance next time as well as putting my T'bird on the road next month (hopefully).

FWIW, if Triumph builds a 680 triple Daytona, I'm there. Seems to me that more low end torque would make it the "perfect" sport bike for the "real world." If not, I'll just keep my '96 Ducati 944 SS which really is the "real world sport bike" minus the amenities of fuel injection and civilized manners.

TMA is @1/2 from our store. I've been asking about a mid 600's triple and of course can't get an answer - a few sly grins but nothing concrete.
Unless something "slips" it will be September at the international dealers meeting before any announcements are made. 2 new models are to be introduced at this time.
