Just curious what people think about the benefit of fitting frame sliders to a bike not taken to the track.

Are they good insurance against major damage from a minor accident, or just a waste of money? Some have said they may even cause big damage, if they're attached at the engine mounting points.

Well after my "little low side" I ordered a new set of frame sliders, tails sliders, and bar end sliders.

After I installed them I was moving the bike around and was reaching for my rear stand ..... arghhhh I lost my grip on the clip on and to my horror (an in slow motion) the bike fell over on its side .... but wait, its not laying on the ground ... it's floating ... no but it was resting peacefully on the sliders a couple of inches off the deck, not a scratch ... now that I like!

So the answer to your question is a resounding .. yes they do help and they look the business as well.

The red one or the black one?

I was negotiating for the used blue '02 but then I found my Brand new aluminium one in Penn. so I had it shipped. It cost more total but it was a better value due to zero miles and the two year warranty in force. :-D
