Thumbs up Sorting out my 96 d1200

Greetings,

I have been sorting out my red 96 d1200. Eliminated the whinning noise by giving the
front balancer adjustment a slight turn. Dialed in the supension settings to near max and
it corners well. Changed out oil and filter, cleaned up brakes. I may put the stock pipes
back on to check drive ability. Talked to previous owner who said he changed out the
coils because of cutting out. This bike fun. Really pulls from 6-7k and the front end gets
light.

I have an problem with the bike comming off Idle. It runs rouph until it hits 2k, then
runs and pulls fine. It does this more after it warms up. I have an appointment to get
the valves checked and adjusted, and get the carbs synced. Any ideas out there
on how to fix the rouph and stumble below 2k. Any help would be great.

Stumble at 3K RPM

Also, you might want to run premium. I did not believe it made a big deal, but on a recent trip to WV (800 miles total), premium eliminated a stumble I had at about 3,000-3,2000.

Thanks for info, nice trip

Thanks,

Sounds like WV was really nice. The course was great, my wife wants to take it soon.
May have to wait for the spring. Im going to try syncing the carbs, and a pickup coil.
May rebuild the clutch with new springs and plates. Did Put the stock pipes back on and now the stumble is exactly at 1500-2000 rpm. Interesting, this bike is very mechanically
noisy. Its going to Hermys in oct for a real checkout.
