Wrecked my '04 955i, pics inside, need help please

So I wrecked a while ago (March 18) and I've just know got the extra money to fix her back up. I've got more pics of the wreck and injuries on my blog, http://blog.myspace.com/williamfagan Here's the bike now

I'm all better now but as you can see I've got some work to do. I've seen lots of speedo's and ignition sets on ebay, so not too worried about that. I'll probably just buy new rearsets and pazzo levers. The biggest hit to my budget is going to be plastics(all of them minus the two carbon fiber inserts under the seat), upper fairing supports, and the headlight. I've got the stock tail light and I can get the tank fixed.

So if anybody has some spare 955i parts laying around that will fit my bike, please pm me w/price. I'd like to keep it looking like an '04, but may use a different tail section.

Glad that you are OK & recovered!
(Incidentally your blog link doesn't work)

Cheaper might be to just go the 'naked' route & fit Speed Triple headlight assembly? Parts are all interchangeable between the frames.
You can go the full hog & fit bars & risers too, or still keep clip-ons if you prefer that riding stance.

Good Luck with the resurrection & keep us posted on the re-birth!

Yikes, looks terrible. I think Decosse is right though. Much cheaper to go naked. I replaced just the left side fairing piece and it was 480.00. Glad you have recovered though and good luck.

Definitely go naked...you can make it into a sick nasty street fighter. If you end up not fixing it up...how much you want for that exhaust

Triple vs Daytona

I thought about that, but I like the look of the Daytona alot better. Also, I would have to reroute the wires, paint the cylinders black...... I've got about 3k to spend so I'm going to do it right.

Yeah the sides are 480 each, the upper is like 660 and the headlight assy is like 400 bucks, so it's pretty expensive. I was hoping I could find some used plastic w/some rash or small crack, have it repaired and painted.

Thanks DEcosse, I was pretty f'ed up for awhile. Nothing serious, just a couple of surgeries on my knees and my wrist. 38 staples on my knees and a screw and pin in my right wrist. I think i fixed the blog link.

Blog working now.
When I read that post (& similar) about the truck backing up, makes me want to fit some enormous air horns to my bike!!!

Can't argue on the first part (although the 97-01's look better IMO)

On the other two points, the harness is no big deal - I have the same harness as yours in my SpeedTona.
And I would submit the engine doesn't really need to be painted, as long as it's clean.
In fact I think I maybe even like it better (although admittedly had same thoughts as you originally)

But I completely respect your desire to return to standard appearance - after all that's what you bought in the first place.
If you have the budget, then of course, go for it.

Yeah, I was screaming in my helmet but that bastard couldn't hear me in that truck for some reason I hadn't really noticed your speedtona's engine wasn't all black. It looks good, like you said, as long as it's clean. I may end up going that route if it comes down to having to buy all new plastics. Oh well, time will tell.

Have you tried looking at Sharkskinz or Airtech for plastics?

http://www.sharkskinz.com/triumph955.htm

http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/...55I2002-06.htm

And for graphics logos you can get these then when you have your bike painted, put them on before the clearcoat goes on

http://www.tapeworks.com/Logos/logosatoz.html

I used tapeworks for my FZR and they were good quality.

I still have a Silver fuel tank and an Aston Green fuel tank that you can take your pick from.

I have a pair of decent fairings that could be painted and used again but they have been repaired (one more than the other). I have a seat cowl (Aston green).

I have a black widow Carbon Fiber high-mount can that I'll sell you at a good price but the tag fell off and the mounting holes are open.

I have an OEM Triumph Mid V for the bottom of the fairings and a few other things that I'm not sure about.

PM me if you are interested in any of that.

I just noticed you are in San Diego. Air Tech is in Vista, so if you went with them, hyou could probably just go pick the plastics up and save shipping money.
