Tune Download Problem??

I've just finished installing a 03 Daytona 955i in my 02 Tiger. When the mechanic at the Triumph place downloads the Daytona tune the RPM guage doesnt work right. When the key is turned on the RPM jumps straight to 4200. When running it goes from there....actual idleing@ 1200rpm but showing 5400rpm. Also the gas guage peggs the full mark and dont move off it. Does anyone have a clue as to what is causeing this?? I've since downloadsid the Tiger tune and everything works great but it doesnt have the power it had with the Daytona tune. Iwant to get the Daytona tune installed but I'd like the rpm guage and all to be working right. Do I need to get a Daytona Techometer??? Any suggestions are welcome.

davztigr, The D955i doesn't have a fuel gauge and there are probably enough other differences to screw things up. I bet Triumph hasn't even considered this swap (sounds good tho') so there's no tune for it.

My guess is you're going to have to use a TuneBoy or PCIII to modify the Tiger tune.

I'm with Bradtx; there must be just too many differences between the way the two engines are tuned and the instrumentation, etc. between the Tiger and the Daytona for the Daytona tune to work. If you get a TuneBoy please let us know how it works out; I'm thinking of getting one soon.

Get a tuneboy. Display the Daytona tune. Note all timing and fuel ratio values. Then display the Tiger tune and change the values to the ones of the Daytona. Upload the tune to your bike.

I'm sure the Tuneboy guys will be pleased to help you once you've bought the tuneboy.

Thanks guys. That was my next thought... that I would need to get a tuneboy for myself and do something like that or find someone who already had done this and see if they had the same problems and what they did to fix them. I think the timing and fuel ratio is the big difference. I can tell it's starving for fuel when you roll on the throttle with the Tiger tune. Where can I check on the cost for the tuneboy and Tiger and Daytona downloads?
