Interested in a 955

So, I'm interested in purchasing a used 955. What years are the best/worst, if there is a "worst". I really love these bikes, my friend just picked one up and let me take it for a spin. I pretty much fell in love with it. Any help would be great.

From '02 on, the only real changes are cosmetic. If you don't like the look of the '02/'03, go for an '04 to '06. I don't have any experience with pre-'02s. You won't be disappointed.

Cool! Thanks for the info. I'll start looking at those years.

The bike is really a great all-rounder that'll scratch or tour (in my opinion) as well as a Sprint. You can get these at a decent price and may even be able to find new yet. Like all bikes, there are some "character" issues but nothing that will detract from a very positive experience. If and when Triumph upgrades to a new 1050 Daytona, it'll probably have usd forks and radial brakes which would be an upgrade, but the current bikes have no problems suspension, braking or engine wise. DO IT!
